The following pieces of writing have recently been completed by Spark team. We have a fantastic group of young authors that love sharing their work with the wider school community. Enjoy the pieces below!

My heart is racing.  I sprint as fast as a flash. I'm running furiously with the sun beating down on me. I jump in the crunchy flax. I crawl through the trees. I peer out of the leaves. I jogged around the corner. I spied someone. 

"Bang!"

There Eli was, sprinting away. I run away. I'm panicking.

Tagged. I failed at 'Gang Up'.

Tagged?

Heart pounding, feet aching, out of breath sprinting to find a hiding spot. On high alert that something is coming behind me.  I hide with a bunch of friends. Mikayla is on guard. She loudly calls the code to signal that the taggers are coming. Sprinting to find a spot, while dodging the taggers that are heading at high speed like wild beasts towards me.

"Got you!"

I really enjoy 'Gang Up'.

Emma O

Arms exhausted, out of breath, head aching, stranded in my hiding spot. Sneaking in behind a tall, colourful building. Mikayla is on guard. Wondering if I will ever be found.

"Popcorn, popcorn they are are coming!"

Lexus

Running furiously, trying not to get tagged. Yelling nervously, "Tag, tag, tag!"

Lines getting bigger and bigger every second.  Everyone has spread out and that was a great idea. It stayed like that. 

As I ran across the outline, a chain of people are chasing me. I start running faster with more energy as though I was going to run away. 

"Swap time!" was called. Everyone cheers.  

The game is over. Chain tag rules.
