Selwyn District council have a lot of great activities happening to celebrate Matariki this and next month.

We have a fantastic App – The Journeys of Manu, where people can download the app and go to Foster Park or Liffey domain to learn about how the stars and seasons influence gardening, travel etc.

We also have a fantastic Star Gazing in Selwyn guide, with maps for great places to star gaze, things to look for in our night sky and QR code which links through to Dr Karen Pollard – Director of the University of Canterbury Mt John Observatory, guiding you to find Matariki. We also have a QR code to Miriama Kamo reading her story of The Stolen Stars of Matariki. Copies of this guide can be picked up from the library or you can request copies from me.
