Pink Shirt Day - Friday 18 May

Tracey Young —

On Friday 18th of May the Student Kaitiaki Team will be organising a Pink Shirt Day.  Pink Shirt Day is all about celebrating diversity and raising awareness of bullying.  Pink shirt day started in Canada when a boy came to school in a pink shirt and got bullied. Two students thought this was wrong and took a stand against bullying and handed out pink shirts for everyone to wear.  It spread all over social media and is now helping raise awareness all over the world.

On Friday 18th May we will be running various activities. There will be a colouring competition, a photo booth, some games run by the PAL's and you will be able to write kind messages in pink chalk all over the courts.

Remember your gold coin donation and to wear the colour pink to join the movement for positive change.
