Matatea's maths focus this term has been on Place Value

In HB15 we made our own abacus so that we can show our understanding of the value of digits in numbers up to 999.We have been learning about how many ones, tens and hundreds there are in a number and how we can represent these numbers using equipment.

Along with our abacus, we have been using place value blocks, which have recently been purchased by the PCG for each Homebase in Matatea. Thanks so much to the PCG for this wonderful resource!
