End of year message

Ngaire Shepherd-Wills —

Tēnā koutou ngā whānau o Te Kura o Mārama,

As the year draws to a close, the Board of Trustees have been reflecting on a year that will surely go down in history. We never could have anticipated this time last year the COVID 19 crisis. It's a testament to the resilience of Canterbury and our community how well we have come through some tough times.

The Board would like to thank Principal Rob Rush and all of the Clearview Staff for their incredible work during 2020. To shift to online learning at short notice was a huge task. A recent Kāhui Ako report shows that our community was well supported and our students kept on learning. We hope you have a well deserved break and thank you for your care of students and their whānau.

At this time of year we farewell several staff members and wish them all the best for their future endeavours. We'd especially like to acknowledge the work of Leigh Fowler, who has made a significant contribution to Clearview Primary in her time here. We know Marshland School gains a leader who is future focused and keeps learners at the centre.

To the wider Clearview whānau – thank you for your continued support of Clearview Primary. This school is in the heart of an amazing community. The Board would like to wish you all a safe and restful holiday break. Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete me te Tau Hau.
