Scout Scarf Day

Tracey Young —

Check out our students wearing their scarves as part of world scarf day: Amelia Privilege, Reuben Lobb, Joel Reinke, Ben Calvert (at the back), Jacob Roy, Xander Delahunty.

The idea of "Scout Scarf Day" on August 1 is that all active and former scouts are requested to wear their scout scarves in public to make the "Spirit of Scouting" visible: Once a Scout - Always a Scout!

The date of the event commemorates the very first Scout Camp on Brownsea Island in 1907.

The scarf is a strong symbol for the scout promise and for their mission to leave the world as a bit better a place than they had found it.
Scouting sections are Keas (age 5-8), Cubs (age 8-11), Scouts (age 11-14), Venturers (age 14-18) and Rovers (age 18-26). Leaders are aged 18+.
