This year in Chess Club we have learned new strategies and ways to mess with the mind by using useful ways to bamboozle your opponent. In the same amount of time have been included in one major torment in the Te Hapua library (Halswell) we went up against over 100 other schools there were a few socials and we have had a good time playing chess this year and hope to play it more next year and hopefully get included in the next tournament. We have also helped people who are new to chess so we teach them how to play and make them a lot better and familiar with chess then they were so they have an opportunity to a tournament and to try new things to make new memories or make new friends during this once in a lifetime experience.

The chess club tournament need a captain who will be the best.  There were four people in a team, in our Clearview group there were students from Quest zone:  Michael (team captain),  Billie, CJ and Alex R.

Clearview did not come in the top 3 but it was a fun and amazing experience.   We all got a chess competition reward in the form of a certificate handed out to each person.   We look forward to competing again in the 2020 chess competition next year.  Thanks to Mr Goertz for supporting us!
