In Tīramaroa we have been learning about Computational Thinking through algorithmic problem solving skills.

Throughout Zones we have been demonstrating these skills through a range of tasks including Coding, Typing and instructions.

Tīramaroa students have been showing determination to complete tasks, we have also had a few debugging issues to work through.  When students encountered these they used coding hints and re-read their codes step by step to find a solution.  One key task we enjoyed completing was the ‘Hour of Code’ Google Template, where we could add code to make the template move.

Typing is another key skill that we want our Tīramaroa students to confidently step out of Clearview with.  TypingClub helps children learn how to type efficiently and effectively using a QWERTY keyboard as well as posture.
