Board of Trustees update

Ngaire Shepherd-Wills —

Tēnā koutou ngā whānau o Te Kura O Marama,

Greetings from the Board of Trustees. We hope that you and your whānau are safe in your bubble and have been well during this Level 4 lockdown time.

As we move into Level 3, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Clearview Primary for their awesome work in transitioning to distance learning for our children. We know this has been a challenging task. The connections with school at this time are so important for children and the emphasis on relationships first has been a focus recommended by experts across New Zealand.

We'd also like to acknowledge the support of Clearview whānau. Your quick responses to move to Level 4, keeping your children home during Level 3 where possible, and supporting your own children with learning has been amazing. Our Clearview community has never been more important.

The Board of Trustees met last night - online! We had an interesting disucssion about the robust procedures and health and safety guidelines that will be in place for those staff and students returning to school next week. Rest assured that the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education have provided detailed planning that we will be adhering to.

In exciting news, Clearview Primary was fortunate to gain significant funding as part of the Ministry of Education's Investing in Schools Fund that was announced late last year. Several projects have been submitted for approval and we are now in the next phases of developing these. We look forward to improvements to our school property that will enhance the learning environment.

Stay safe in your bubble and we look forward to when we can be safely together again.

I te wairua o mahi ngātahi,

Clearview Board of Trustees
