Kia ora Parents / Caregivers / Whanau

There are many people, groups and facilities at Clearview Primary to be grateful for, and throughout my time at this wonderful school, I have never taken them for granted.  I am constantly acknowledging and thanking various people for the amazing work they do that adds such value to the overall quality of education for our students.  The beauty of being a large school is the ability to offer so many opportunities to our learners and this was identified as a strength of our school during our consultation period late last year.

This week, we have a mobile ice skating rink set up in the hall and this has been kindly organised by our Parent Community Group (PCG) as a fundraiser for Clearview.  Watching our students ice skating on-site is quite the sight to behold.

The PCG contributes so much to both the culture/climate of our school as well as financially through a range of fundraising ventures.  The PCG is made up of a relatively small group of parents who selflessly give up their precious time to make our school a better place.  I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to this valued group.

Finally, I wish our Year 7/8 Cricket Team all the very best for their next game against Grey Main from Greymouth.  Our team of budding young Black Caps were victorious against Woodend School last week and have progressed to the next round.  As the games go on, the competition gets better and better.  Watching them play is such a pleasure.  Not only do they have amazing skills, but the way they work together as a team, support each other and respect their opposition is simply awesome.  Go Clearview!
