April School Holiday Programme - Enrolments Open

What is it?!
This programme focuses on building children's confidence, resilience & communication skills. Kids will feel the power of their communication skills, the important role they play in groups & feel empowered by what they CAN do! A chance to try new things, make new connections and gain a real confidence boost lasting well past the end of the session. Kids will engage in fun (but safe) adventure based learning activities as we utilise the epic and exciting opportunities available at Omaka Camp.
Who is it for?
This is for kids who love the outdoors BUT equally it is for the kids who feel anxious going on school camp, feel uncertain giving new things a go, it's for the kids who feel like they don't enjoy being outside or those who find it hard to engage in leisure activities past their devices. Let's boost that precious confidence together. It is a programme perfect for returning Talk Together students or those who want to check out what Talk Together has to offer. This is a half day session with morning or afternoon time slots available for 7-12 years olds.
Do you have a student older than 12 that would be keen? Let us know! With enough interest we will be able to run an older group for teenages also.
Facilitators
Run by our very own Outdoor Educator (Jacqui- who usually brings all of her epic skills 'inside' so to speak at Talk Together) & Talk Together Speech Language Therapists (Megan, Ellen & Kyra) taking their skills outside (where we like to be on the weekends anyway). Location
Omaka Camp is conveniently located just past the airport in Harewood, providing out-of-town-like outdoor facilities but only 20 mins drive from each of the main locations we run our term time social skills groups- Rolleston, Cashmere & Rangiora.

Keep an eye out for term 2 enrolments opening shortly! We will send you an email to let you know. We will be opening enrolments for exciting groups for 5-17 year olds as well as preschool (2-5 year olds) groups AND a programme for families with 0-2 year olds.
