Message from the Principal

Rob Rush —

Kia ora Parents / Caregivers / Whanau,

It's great to be back at Alert Level 1 once again!  Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding with everything while we had our restrictions in place and for signing our COVID-19 registers when/if you came onsite.  Our drinking fountains have been reopened and it's a pleasure to be able to hold school events with larger gatherings of people.  It doesn't stop here though, we have a long battle to keep the virus from spreading into our community, so we will continue with our increased hygiene practices, sanitising regularly and we still ask that you keep your child at home if they are unwell.

Over recent weeks, we have been noticing an accelerated growth pattern with an increase in student numbers alongside multiple inquiries to enrol at Clearview.  We have over 750 students currently enrolled with many more students pre-enrolled to start before the end of this year.  Next term, we will be starting our third roll growth class and for the first time in years, we have filled up the Yellow Block, so our newest HB will be known as HB 0 and they will be located in the learning space in the hall beside the cafe. We thank Busy Bumbles for their understanding and co-operation with relocating to the library to allow space for the new class.

Mrs Tina Prince will be the teacher of HB 0 - we know Tina very well as she is a part-time teacher here.  We look forward to having Tina with us full time for next term.

Term 3 draws to a close tomorrow and I applaud our staff and students for working so hard over the past 10 weeks.  It has been our longest stint of on-site learning this year, so no doubt, they are looking forward to a well-deserved break.

Please enjoy the upcoming holiday break, I look forward to seeing everyone again when we start back on Monday 12 October.  Take care and stay safe.

Ngā mihi nui
