By the 2019 Student Ambassadors

Thank you to all our supporters that completed a postcard or sticky note with a message of support for our smoke-free cars campaign.   We wanted to support the Smoke-Free Cars Campaign because we see this is an ongoing issue not just in our community but in the whole of New Zealand. We feel that the wellbeing and health of children and teenagers across not only NZ but the world should be one of the top priorities for parents and caregivers. We don’t want children to get sick or suffer from the long term consequences of traveling with someone who smokes.  Your voice counted and we have made a difference!

The Government has now announced it will prohibit smoking in cars carrying children under 18 years of age.
