Loose Parts Playground
In collaboration with the Connect and Create Competency Captains, I have been making plans to re-create a Loose Parts Playground at Clearview.
Our initial survey revealed a strong desire by students across the school to establish a collection of loose parts that can be used at break times in creative, open ended play.
We are now at the stage of sourcing a range of items to use in play and this is where we are hoping you can help us. Below is a list of the types of things we are looking for. The list is by no means complete and we are open to any ideas you may have regarding suitable items. We do ask that items are safe for children to handle and that they contain no electrical components.
Loose Parts wish list: tyres, boxes, towels, spools, foam pieces or mats, sponges, cushions, PVC pipes or guttering, plastic bottles, ice cream containers, steering wheel, buckets, plastic plant pots, blankets, tarps, pool noodles, ropes, fabric, folding chairs, pegs... the options are endless!
Donations can be dropped off to the monitors who will be at the doors to the old PE shed at the side of the hall each morning before school from August 20-24. If you would like to make donations outside of this timeframe, just deliver them to the school office.
Kind Regards
