Senior Kapahaka performs at Horncastle

Tracey Young —

Last night our Senior Kapahaka roopu performed on stage as part of the 2019 Cultural Festival. Their performance was outstanding and they definitely represented Clearview with pride and mana.

The theme and whakatauki of the festival was "Ko te amorangi ki mua, ko te hapāi ō ki muri" acknowledging all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to put these performances together.  The Senior Kapahaka group would like to acknowledge all the hard mahi from the following people:

  • the many parents and whānau who attended the festival last night - thank you for your cheers of support!
  • Matua Anton - for his expert tutoring every Thursday
  • Mrs Fiona Davidson - for seeking sponsorship for our new uniforms, ordering and co-ordinating these
  • Mr Wood - for all his guidance and support each week at our rehearsals
  • Whaea Leonie - for supporting our group this term
  • Mrs Anj Newsome - our photographer and emergency vehicle at the rehearsal and on the night
  • Miss Dainter and Miss Marshall for supporting at the Cultural Festival

Ka pai tō mahi team - great work!
