2019 Triennial BOT Elections

Clearview Primary —

Are you interested in becoming a Board of Trustees member? NZSTA is offering many resources to help parents understand what is involved. Read on to learn more:

NZSTA (NZ School Trustees Association) is working very hard to encourage parent and whanau participation on school boards in order to help shape and support the education of their children. To that end, they will be rolling out the Korari Programme for anyone interested in finding out about standing for the school board elections and having a say in the education of their children.

NZSTA have provided the following resources (attached).

  1. Korari: a programme (workshop) that provides you with governance training to help you understand the role of school boards of trustees.

They will be rolling out workshops for Korari in March/April this year. Please see attached poster for this.

Dates, times and venues will be sent out soon.

  1. Korari form: NZSTA will support anyone who advises us they are interested in becoming a trustee, by way of the workshops but also providing access to our Learning Management System where online modules re. school governance, student achievement etc. can be completed.

Attached is a form for completion which should be emailed to korari@nzsta.org.nz

  1. Community member guide to the role of the board of trustees: This explains a lot of commonly asked questions and information about becoming a trustee.
