Cobham School Cross Country

Courtney Ross —

On Wednesday 8 May the Cobham Cross Country took place. Read below to hear all about it...

In near-perfect conditions, students from Cobham Intermediate made their way over to Jellie Park to compete in the annual school cross country. It was awesome to see everyone getting involved in the event and wearing their house colours with pride!

Students were encouraged to set a goal for themselves to plan out their race prior to running. I know many students worked hard to achieve their goal; congratulations to these people! Hopefully, everyone who crossed the finish line felt a sense of achievement.

The top 10 placing students from each race have qualified to represent Cobham in the Canterbury AIMS Cross Country, held at Halswell Quarry on June 19. Students involved will be emailed directly with a permission form and more information.  A massive congratulations to all of you! Students who placed from 11th - 16th will be the non-travelling reserves for this event.
