COBHAM INTERMEDIATE ATHLETICS

A great day at Burnside High School had all of our students involved in athletics events. After many years since the last school athletics day it was great to see everyone together.

After a postponed event we had a really successful day at Jellie Park today with students showing great resilience when running their Cross Country.

CAIMS SWIMMING CHAMPS

52 Cobham Swimmers donned their red camps and jumped into the pool at Selwyn Aquatic Centre on Monday. Cobham performed incredibly in and out of the pool.

SOUTH ISLAND MOUNTAIN BIKING

Down at the picturesque Coronet Peak our small but mighty Mountain Bike team did Cobham proud at the South Island Secondary Schools event.

Thomas 4th Downhill and 5th EnduroVaughan 6th Cross Country, 6th Downhill and 7th EnduroViktor 37th Downhill (ridden with massive mechanical issues)

SUMMER TOURNAMENT

On Tuesday 5th of March 160 students attended the CAIMS Summer Tournament at Hagley Park. We had teams competing across a range of codes including Touch, Golf, Tennis, Orienteering, Cricket, Futsal and Bowls.

We had some incredible results including:

Boys Touch - 3rd
Girls Touch - 1st
Futsal - 2nd
Golf - 3rd
Cricket Boys - 3rd=
Cricket Girls - 1st=
Rogaining Girls - 3rd
Orienteering Mixed - 2nd

COBHAM SWIMMING CHAMPS

The Cobham School Swimming Championships took place at Jellie Park on 15 February. It was a wonderful morning and we were very impressed with the caliber of talent on display! A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and to those who qualified for a final.

The CAIMS Swimming Championships are taking place later in term 1. Students who have qualified to represent Cobham at this event will be contacted by the Sports Coordinator.
