On Tuesday 8th of May, Lian Tanner who is an Australian author, came to run a workshop with some of our students who have a passion for fantasy books or who are keen reader/writers.

Lian Tanner is the author of the Keepers Trilogy which won the 2010 Aurealis Award for Children's fiction.

Her workshop was absolutely fantastic and the students walked away buzzing after their session with her.

The students were taught how to build their own fantasy world and included imagination exercises to develop the world and its current problem, map drawing, a discussion of conflict, and the beginning of a story written in this new world.
