A group of our boys were lucky enough to attend the Inspire Him conference recently. The guest speakers, Jason Gunn, Nick Ritchie and Mike King, were entertaining and informative. This is the first of three articles outlining each speakers topic.

For over25 year Jason Gunn has been one of New Zealand's and Canterbury's leading broadcasters. He has hosted many shows on TV and radio. We were thoroughly entertained by Jason's talk. 

Jason's message was focussed around being yourself, finding what makes you happy and chasing your dream. He started off talking about just being yourself and not trying to be someone that you might think people want you to be. He then discussed how some of the greatest people he had meet were 'nice' people; how they treated everyone with respect and courtesy. 

He finally finished with "finding what makes you happy" and chasing that dream.  Understanding the importance of not listening to the people who tell you can't do something, or that you're not good enough to achieve your dream and that achieving dreams means putting in the hard yards and being prepared to work at it.
