The 2018 Swimming NZ Junior Festival Makos Zone (South Island)

Congratulations to the following Cobham swimmers who have placed at the NZ Juniors, your hard work and dedication has brought home some medals!!

The 2018 Swimming NZ Junior Festival Makos Zone was held last weekend (16-18th of February) in Dunedin. The festivals were held concurrently around the country in each of the four zones, and were as follows Harlequins (Auckland), Aqua Knights (Rotorua), All Stars (Wellington), and Makos (Dunedin). The Makos Zone includes all clubs from the Nelson/Marlborough, Canterbury West Coast, Otago, and Southland regions.

Conor McCullough (Room11), Georgia Dann (Room11), Hanna Abdou (Room5) and Ray Suzuki (Room19) qualified to go to the 2018 NZ Junior Festival and differences of 0.01 of a second could even change the placing they received. Their perseverance and their strong desire to push their limits paid off with the results of recording personal bests and then the extra carrot of some medals.
