During the school holidays 30 students, coaches and supporters ventured to North Otago to compete in NETWORK WAITAKI BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. Teams travelled from all over Canterbury and Otago to play in the competition. Cobham had three teams competing in three different grades. The days were long, the games were tough, but lots of fun was had.
The Girls A team played a number of round robin games against some pretty tough competition. The played with passion and pride and managed to come in fourth overall.
The Boys A team had tough games all through the three days of playing. They played really well and absolutely dominated a number of teams. They ended up on the podium with a third place.
The Boys Development team started off slow, but the further the competition went the better they played. The team was on fire for their last game, beating KNS by 10 points and ended up in fifth place.
Overall the players did Cobham proud. They played hard, stood up to tough competition and showed 3RP@C throughout the time they were away.
