We have had a wonderful term of learning in Pod 4, Pod 5 and Pod 6!

The children have been getting to know each other and sharing their culture with their peers and teachers. Classes have developed routines and expectations which have been captured in their Class Treaty and Digital Treaty. Some classes have created a class name and co-designed their learning environment. Our CSNS Competency focus for Term 1 is Collaboration. The children have been learning to collaborate with their peers by completing a range of challenges inside and outside the classroom and supporting each other with their learning.

Our learners have completed a range of assessments for reading, writing, spelling and maths. This information helps our teachers with their weekly planning. Some of the texts that our learners have been reading have been about Te Tiriti o Waitangi and School Journal stories about different cultures.  They have been exploring different strands of maths including statistics, geometry and number.  All of our learners have also loved their art and music sessions with Ms Casey and Mrs van der Schouw. Each class is looking forward to sharing their learning from our Ko wai au? Ko wai tātou? (Who am I? Who are we?) Unit over the next few weeks. See you there!
