Columba College students accepted into Dunedin Symphony Orchestra.

Congratulations to Melissa van der Haegan and Skyla Murray who were recently accepted into the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra. This is the top professional orchestra in Dunedin so we are very proud of these girls. The concert season starts in June, they will be playing works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Holst, and many more. Keep an eye out for details later next term.

Skyla has also been accepted into the NZSO National Youth Orchestra. This is the fourth time Skyla has been accepted into this program. The NYO is the premier orchestra for players up to 25 years of age and is the gateway orchestra for the prestigious NZ Symphony Orchestra. She will be playing in the Violin 1 section for both of the Wellington and Christchurch concerts in July.
