Spring Magic
The Year 6 class have been celebrating the joy spring brings.
Our writing focus has been on poetic language and we have been enjoying writing a range of prayers and poems to describe the magic of spring. We have created artworks to go alongside our writing, using oil pastels and dye.
A Stroll in Spring
As I stroll in spring,
Tender green grass brushes softly at my feet
Daffodils bloom showing off their vibrant colours
Flocks of birds paint the sky with bright feathers
Lambs fill the air with playful spirit
As they prance in lush paddocks
The sun shines brightening the land
A touch of hope floats in the air
Spring is the time where Mother Nature features her best outfit
I sit silently enjoying the beauty
And ask God “Why is spring so magical?”
He replies “This is the gift of nature”

We Thank you God
When blue sky emerges
And lambs frolic in fields
We thank you God for the creation of spring
When bright flowers bloom
And ducklings waddle
We thank you God for the creation of spring
When the days become brighter
And new growth appears
We thank you God for the creation of spring
When buds unfurl
And our hearts fill with hope
We thank you God for the creation of spring

Spring
Yellow chicks dance in the silver ferns, hanging from every branch
Hoping along to catch up with its mother, a baby deer skips along
A tiny little stream runs between two paddocks separating them off
Vibrant, bright flowers and birds pop up all over the land
Spring time has come at last
