This term the year 6 class has been experimenting with the Sphero robots and how they work. Today we were able to find the perimeter of a shape using these amazing robots.

Students used the Sphero "draw" program to draw a two dimensional shape.  They were able to calculate the perimeter of the shape by reading the graphed data recorded by the Sphero as it moved to make the shape.  We were surprised with how accurate you had to draw your shape for the Sphero to travel accurately in the shape drawn.

Everyone did an amazing job at working in groups and had some fun revising some numeracy.
