Welcome to Columba College

Columba College —

By thoughtfully combining innovation and rich traditions, Columba College provides a safe, supportive, nurturing environment that allows students to discover their full potential.

Columba College has an enviable reputation for academic excellence and all-round achievement where we work to support your daughter to become the best she can be.

The school offers a maximum roll of 565 students – made up of a co-educational junior school from years 0 to 6, and an all girl's day and boarding school from years 7 to 13. Due to the small roll and success of the school, placements are highly sought after with a waiting list in place in all areas of the school and boarding village.

Up to ten new International students are welcomed each year with applications accepted from those in years 1 to 13. (As a signatory of the NZ Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students all students under 10 must be accompanied by an adult).

We see our international students as being a key part of the fabric of Columba College – where their experiences, upbringing and insights add a valuable dimension to the growth and development of our school and wider community. In addition, the family atmosphere of the school does much to create a sense of belonging and to engender enduring connections.

Built on Christian foundations, Columba College retains close links to the Presbyterian Church and welcomes students of other denominations and faiths. With opportunities to lead, serve and participate in sporting and cultural pursuits, students leave Columba as capable and committed individuals, with an understanding of the world beyond self and confidence in the pursuit of their dreams.
