Year 11 History students Jess and Sophie examine an old Columba student in this documentary on significant wahine in Aotearoa's history.

Frances Hodgkins was a pupil at Braemar House School, which later became part of Columba College.

Jess and Sophie look at the significance of Hodgkins' contribution to the art world and consider concepts of Matuaranga Māori in her life and works.This was part of Year 11 History's group exploration of significant wahine in our country's history. Other groups looked at Te Puea, Nancy Wake, Jean Batten and Ettie Rout.
