During the early stages of this break before lockdown Madison Foote in year 8 had three days of full on swimming and claimed some really good results.

Exciting achievements:

• Maddy gained personal best times in 6 out of 8 races.
• Their relay team, Queenstown girls 12 and under, came 3rd in the 4x 50m freestyle relay (they were ranked as 10th).
• Maddy won silver in the 12 year girls 100m freestyle. It was a tight final, first three place getters were within 0.18 seconds of each other!
• She came 4th in 50 freestyle; the top 5 girls were within 0.29 seconds of each other!
• Four top 10 placings.

It was her last swim for Queenstown and she made them incredibly proud. This has reignited her love for swimming and competing, which is awesome for future meets - well done Madison!
