Dear Parents and Caregivers

In 2021 the Parents’ Association successfully raised over $20,000 for our school-wide fundraising project – the ‘Virtual Reality Cloud Suite’. This year we are fundraising for livestreaming equipment.

An overview of the format for the 2022 Columba College raffle is as follows:

Each raffle book consists of five $5 tickets, each ticket providing an opportunity to win one of five draws of prizes. The books will have stubs to record the purchaser details and tear-off tickets to give to the purchaser.

Each family is issued with two books to sell.

We do emphasise these books are to sell and not necessarily to parents. There are plenty of people in the neighbourhood, clubs, workplace and extended families who love to buy a raffle ticket to support a good cause.

This year's procedure will be as follows:

• If you do not want to receive any raffle books to sell, or you would like a variation on the number of books (i.e more/less books), then please contact the school office by email by Monday 16th May 2022, admin@columbacollege.school.nz. We strongly encourage all families to sell their allocated two books of raffle tickets as a minimum - it is a valuable fundraiser for Columba College.
• If you have not contacted us, the raffle books (2 x $25) will be charged to your May school account and the tickets sent home with your oldest enrolled child in the week of 23rd May 2022.
• Sell the tickets and keep the cash (because your school account has been charged for the tickets).
• Return the ticket stubs to the school office no later than Wednesday, 15th June 2022.
• If you have not returned the ticket stubs you will be contacted at this time. All stubs, regardless of whether sold or not, need to be returned to the school office so that a complete draw can be made on Thursday 23rd June 2022.
• A credit will be issued to your account at the end of August for unsold tickets. Please note this will only apply for the ticket stubs that have been returned by Wednesday, 15th June 2022.

The school raffle is a vital part of our school-wide fundraising campaign especially as we have not been able to hold our traditional school fair in recent years. We appreciate our school community’s support.
