Chinese calligraphy is the writing art of making beautiful or elegant handwriting by brush pen.

There are 5 basic script styles in Chinese Soft-pen Calligraphy. 

Year 7 and Year 8 Chinese students have learned “Regular Scripts”. This style of writing is the most widely recognised style. Their writing will be sent to Confucius Institute in Canterbury University to participate in the “2023 NZ Chinese Calligraphy Writing Competition”.
