In lieu of an Easter Service, Middle School students participated in an interactive event based around the ‘Stations of the Cross.’

The activity was set up in the school Hall. A series of images, props, activities and reflective questions were used to lead students through the Easter story.

Students started by choosing a rock. They carried this with them as they reflected on things that are heavy and hard. At the station representing the crucifixion, students were invited to place their rock at the foot of the cross. They then moved into ‘Easter Saturday’ with empty hands.

The final station, Easter Sunday, spoke of the resurrection of Jesus, his forgiveness and life. Students were given an origami butterfly as they left.
