AWE Wellbeing Survey Begins Next Week

Ms J Lach —

Next week, our first AWE Wellbeing survey of 2023 will be sent to staff and students from years 4-13.

Who takes part?

All Year 4-13 students, along with all staff at Columba College, will have the opportunity to complete the AWE Wellbeing Survey in order to continue collecting information about the holistic wellbeing of our school community.

The survey is optional but it is best if we can get as much data as possible so that we get a good understanding of the wellbeing issues faced by the Columba community.

Is my survey confidential?

The survey will be confidential, meaning that we will not be able to track individual responses. We will separate results by year level to gather ideas about how different groups of students are doing on the whole. The open responses are also completely anonymous and are only grouped by year levels.

What is this survey?

The survey, created by the Assessing Wellbeing in Education team, is part of Columba College’s strategy to better monitor and address wellbeing throughout our school, and make sure that everyone is ‘feeling good and functioning well’.

We aim to continue to collect data around wellbeing twice annually so that we can gain a long-term perspective on our community over a period of 5 years. This will be our third year conducting this survey. The pastoral team at Columba aims to use the data to learn about the different needs and issues affecting different groups, so that we can hopefully better predict and manage those issues in the future.
