Coinciding with the season of Matariki, the Junior School had a special Chapel on the theme of light.

It was a delight to hold a Chapel service with the Junior School - and to give a number of Year 8 students the opportunity to take leadership roles. After our wonderful Year 0-8 students were seated in the Caroline Freeman Theatre, Madison Lobb carried in the Chapel Cross. Olivia Thorn read from John 8:12 and Dr Macleod lead a reflection on how a candle might remind us of Jesus' truth and love. Bethan Hughes helped with a demonstration here. The school did a fantastic job of singing 'This Little Light of Mine', complete with actions and supported by volunteers from the  middle-school choir. Zara Radel and Nora Paicu led us in prayers for others before Sophia Hessian finished with the Blessing. The Chapel provided a lovely opportunity to engage with our younger students.
