The South Island Secondary School (SISS) Triathlon and Duathlon Championships were held in Oamaru on Sunday 1st March 2020. The day dawned bright and sunny, and we are proud to acknowledge some outstanding results were achieved by both our individual and team athletes.

Columba College has a group of dedicated MultiSport athletes who are consistently producing impressive results in the field. Positive attitude, determination, and mental toughness yet again shown brightly from our Columba Stars on Sunday, as they competed in their SISS Triathlon and Duathlon events in Oamaru.   

Individual Results

U19 Senior Girls: Caitlin O'Brien 1st (Duathlon)

U16 Intermediate Girls: Emily Prout 4th (Duathlon)

U14 Junior Girls: Anya Rhodes 1st (Triathlon)

Columba also produced some great results in the Teams events. 

U16 Intermediate Teams: 

'Columba Doves' (Kayla Millar, Louisa Kotkamp, and Emma Morton) achieved a podium 2nd place in their Triathlon Teams event. 

'Columba Triers' (Riley Piebenga, Tessa Milton, and Mia Stout came 4th in their Triathlon event.
