Happy Year of the Ox!

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! 

2021 is the Year of the Metal Ox, the second animal in the 12-year zodiac rotation. The sign also includes those born in 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, and 2009. 'Ox' people are believed to be conscientious, reliable, strong, and trustworthy. They are purportedly also very opinionated and stubborn, and dislike failing or being challenged. 

2021 Chinese New Year Day is on Friday, 12th February. We want to invite you and your  family to come to the Dunedin Chinese Garden this Friday to celebrate the Year of the Ox with us! See you there. 

Friday the 12th Feb 2021 at Dunedin Chinese Garden: 

• 6.30pm Entertainment and food stalls at the Garden
• 7.00pm Garden open with gold coin entry 
• 7.15pm Dragon parade from the Octagon 
• 7.30pm Dragon and lion dance, cultural performances and celebrations. Ms Ding, her family and Dunedin Chinese Community will sing a song together
• 10pm fireworks at the Garden
