Hand-Knitted Blankets for Presbyterian Support

Dr J Macleod —

It was a joy to be able to donate another 12 hand-knitted blankets to Presbyterian Support Otago. These will be given to people needing some extra warmth this winter.

A number of students and staff have made hand-knitted 'peggy squares,' which have been sewn into blankets for clients of Presbyterian Support. Every winter, there are those in our community who struggle to find adequate warm bedding - these colourful, hand-knitted items will be greatly appreciated.

Please also note the upcoming Octacan appeal. Presbyterian Support's Foodbank has received fewer donations than in previous years; whilst demand has increased by 40% compared to this time last year. You can also donate online, which allows support workers to purchase fresh produce and get non-perishable items at a bulk discount (and you get a tax receipt).
