This year we have once again have one of our students, Zoe McElrea (Year 13), competing with her brother Millar McElrea (JMC) in the Junior Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final, which is being held in Timaru.

In order to qualify, the pair won their Otago/Southland Regional Final in March, and will represent their region at the Grand Final, where they have to complete a variety of tasks including a five-minute speech, an exam, a building/practical task, and seven modules based on the primary industries. Alongside this, there also runs a Region-Off - the people's choice awards, where the seven regions of the competition can gain points from votes, as well as service efforts in their community. So far Zoe and Millar have been getting heavily involved in this, and they want your help by voting for them!
