For the first time in decades, we have a student who has gained an undergraduate place at Oxford University.

Miss Penelope Hare has achieved the remarkable success of gaining an undergraduate place at Oxford University to read History in 2023. She left Columba College at the end of 2021 with a brilliant set of NCEA results, topped by 5 NZQA scholarships. In order to attend, Penelope is attempting to offset the steep international fees, as Oxford does not offer any undergraduate scholarships for New Zealand students. We wish her well in her future endeavours.
