As part of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Year 3 listened to and read the story of How Maui Slowed the Sun.

Students created these wonderful suns covered in Maori designs and learnt to plait to represent the Paraharha (flat), tuamaka (square) and round flax ropes which Maui and his four brothers used to make the sun move more slowly.
