Columba College entered three teams in the Sport Otago Virtual Triathlon held at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Tuesday 20th June. A fantastic initiative, where teams compete 'virtually' against each other and compete for the fastest time on the day!

The Sport Otago Virtual Triathlon returned for 2023 and following on from previous years the excitement levels ran high as teams from across Dunedin competed against each other 'virtually'. Teams from schools and workplaces entered the triathlon under the roof at Forsyth Barr Stadium to run, bike and row as fast as they could, and compete for the fastest time on paper.

Schools booked their time slot on Tuesday 20th to complete their triathlon, with local businesses having their opportunity on Wednesday 21st June.

The triathlon consisted of a;

1.5km Row, 3km Bike and 1.5km Run

Columba had three teams participating in this fantastic event and all teams performed impressively well and had an absolute blast!

Team 1: Hannah (Row), Brenna (Bike), and Neve (Run). Team Time: 18.06.75 mins

Team 2: Bridgette (Row), Millie (Bike), and Briar (Run). Team Time: 17.49.04 mins

Team 3: Anya (Row), Poppy (Bike), and Rhiarna (Run). Team Time: 19.17.57 mins
