During Term 3, the Year 4 class have read the novel The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.
Inspired by a true story, this book tells the tale of a captive silverback gorilla named Ivan who uses his artistic skill to help a baby elephant escape from the circus-themed shopping mall where he has been in captivity for 30 years. The students have chosen their favourite scene from the book to represent in a diorama.
