On Friday 5th November, the Otago Primary and Intermediate Tennis Championships were held at the Tennis Otago Centre, Logan Park. The day was spectacular with the sun shining bright on all competitors, showcasing some fantastic games of tennis.

Congratulations to Columba College students Lily Cuthbertson (Year 7) and Alice Porter (Year 8) who participated in the Otago Schools Tennis Championships recently. It was a great day for all involved, with Lily and Alice displaying their tennis talent and wonderful sportsmanship across the day of competition.

A huge congratulations to Alice Porter who went through to win the tournament, with a comprehensive 6-2, 6-1 victory over her Kavanagh College opponent in the final. Alice now moves through to the Southern Primary and Intermediate Tennis Championships, where she will face opponents from Southland, South Canterbury, North Otago and Queenstown-Lakes.

Well done, girls. We are very proud of your efforts, and wish you all the very best at the Southern Champs, Alice!
