Years 7 and 8 Speech Contest
The Intermediate Department recently held their speech competition finals.
These followed weeks of preparation where the students had to present their speech to the class.
In Year 8, the topic was related to their current Health topic “The Dangers of Fad Diets”.
In Year 7, the topic was “Inventions”.
Mrs Jill Walker (LTCL and NZ Speech Board Examiner) judged both of the competitions.
The standard was extremely high and the finalists did themselves proud.
Year 7 results: 1st Eleanor Wong, 2nd Georgia Houghton, 3rd Tegen Baldwin.
Year 8 results: 1st Kayla Smith, 2nd Eva Zoghbi, 3rd Monet Morrison.
