Congratulations to all our students on a ground breaking sports day for Columba College or should I say bone breaking for some... Nevertheless, what an incredible event 2020 was; the full school spirit and camaraderie was delightful to see and the sportsmanship shown throughout an absolute highlight to begin the year.

I would like to acknowledge the following athletes for their impressive results on the day and for placing overall within their age groups. Each student had the chance to win a total of 20 points across their chosen 4 events. (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 3 points and 3rd = 2 points)

Under 12:

First - Lila Rhodes (20 Points - 1st 800m, 1st 800m, 1st Long Jump and 1st High Jump)
Second - Delilah Brown (15 Points - 1st 100m, 1st High Jump and 1st Discuss)
Third - Matilda Sutton (8 Points - 2nd Discuss, 2nd 200m and 3rd Shot Put)

Over 12: 

First - Madison Flutey (20 Points - 1st 100m, 1st 200m, 1st Long Jump and 1st High Jump)
Second - Charli Sinclair (18 Points - 1st 400m, 1st 800m, 1st Discuss and 2nd High Jump)

First - Pip Eason (17 Points - 1st 100m, 1st 200m, 1st Long Jump and 3rd High Jump)

Well done to everyone involved and all those parents who got behind and supported our event, especially to those involved in the final relay race of the day. It was the inaugural year 0-13 Sports Day and we believe overall a hugely successful event with a few minor improvements to come for next year - we cannot wait for 2021 and this highlight of the school calendar!!
