Inspiration and ideas to keep active during lockdown.

While self-isolation measures are necessary, our bodies and minds still need exercise to function well and keep the spirits up during these challenging times.

Getting outdoors, whether it's for a daily walk, run or bike ride is crucial for our mental and physical wellbeing. 

For those looking for inspiration please see below a couple of organisations that are sharing creative ideas and ways to stay active during lockdown.

The OSSSA is running a LOCKDOWN CHALLENGE!!

Complete all four challenges below and go in the draw to win a spot prize.

Prizes will be drawn on the first day of Level 2 and announced on their Facebook page (Otago Secondary School Sports Association).

CHALLENGE 1: Time yourself running or walking 5km.

CHALLENGE 2: Take a photo of the sunrise or sunset.

CHALLENGE 3: How many push-ups can you do in a row?

CHALLENGE 4: Create and complete your own workout, upload it to the Google form.

BONUS QUESTION: How many NZ athletes are competing at the Paralympics in Tokyo this year?

Kelly Sports - Active Kids @ Home

The Kelly Sports Dunedin Facebook page have been sharing a video series called Active Kids @ Home which they started in Lockdown last year. To see the videos for inspiration from the Kelly Sports coaches, head over to their Facebook page.
