Kia ora. This week some of the Year 9's were fortunate enough to spend the morning at Araiteuru Marae.

They had the opportunity to experience a pōwhiri/formal welcome, and to participate in educational activities relating to te ao Māori/the Māori world. Activities included sharing our mihimihi/personal greeting, flax weaving, games using Māori language and songs, and learning about te reo Māori and Art. The tutors were all very experienced and knowledgeable, as well as kind and fun, so we had a wonderful time.
