On Monday, 27th February, Columba College held our annual Athletics Sports Day for Years 0-13. It was a fabulous day at the Caledonian track with plenty of events to take part in and novelty fun to enjoy.

Athletics Day is a real highlight of our school year as it is a time the whole community comes together to compete and enjoy school spirit! The organisation is a huge undertaking so many thanks go to all the Columba staff, House Prefects and Sports Prefects who were involved in making the day so special for everyone.

Two school records were broken on the day! 

A huge congratulations to:

• Shanti (Year 10) - U15 High Jump = 155cm The previous record was 154cm and was set by G. Paterson in 1999.
• Alex (Year 12) - O16 Shot Put = 11.85m The previous record was 10.60m set by B. Fowle in 1977

Congratulations to Braemar for winning overall once the results for competition, participation, tabloids, and novelty event points were combined across all year levels - Ka pai!
