Year 9 students learning French have been enjoying the warmer afternoons learning to play the French game pétanque.

Playing this relaxed but fun game is a great way to revise numbers and game language, as well as finish up our final Year 9 unit on sport. Some students proved experienced having played with family beforehand. Others were new to the game and learnt how to correctly throw the heavy boule - ball towards the cochonnet - jack.
