We are delighted to be able to offer an Outward Bound Scholarship to a current Year 12 student.

Outward Bound courses are designed to be mentally, emotionally, and physically challenging for the average participant. Activities occur in all weather conditions and can include off-track tramping, camping outside (sometimes alone), whitewater and surf kayaking, running, sailing, swimming, rockclimbing and high-ropes.

Understand what it means to become a leader and work as part of a team. Learn how to inspire others and be a great role model, while getting in touch with your values and understanding how they guide personal decisions. Create life long friendships and networks with other young leaders from schools across New Zealand.

If you are interested in attending Outward Bound during December 2021 or January 2022 please write a letter of application addressed to Mrs Harris and hand it into the College Office by Friday 20th August. Please include your preferred date option.

The cost of the course is $4,995, however, due to the Scholarship provided by the Otago Community Trust valued at $3,450, the cost of the course to be paid by the successful student is only $1,545 plus the cost of a doctor's appointment and travel to Picton.
